LED ZEPPELIN WITH A BRASS BAND
We offer a musical street show that reinterprets the hits of LED ZEPPELIN. It is performed in one place, using only acoustic instruments. Our goal is to revive the energy of the legendary rock group without relying on its mountains of amplifiers.
Part of the group’s originality comes from its use of the barrel organ (an instrument absent from music today) to perform the musical role of Jimmy Page’s guitar.
In homage to the dirigible zeppelin, the group calls itself Quelques Fiers Mongols (A Few Proud Mongolians), an inversion of the French word for hot-air balloon, montgolfière. As this name also suggests that the musicians are inhabitants of an imaginary Mongolia, they recreate during the show their “Mongolian” camping ground, rituals (like sacrificing a cabbage and preparing a soup to be shared with the public) and ancestor worship (in this case, Led Zeppelin). |
